We are a small family business who specialise in hand made petsafe products. The team consists of husband and wife team Brett & Jay Weiler, who between them have over 30 years experience in breeding various parrots and woodwork. We realised there was a need for petsafe products whilst shopping for nest boxes for our birds and discovered that nearly all nest boxes were made using unsafe materials such as Particleboard, MDF, and Masonite all of which cause serious health problems for birds. At present we specialise in bird products but are currently working on products for dogs, cats, and rodents.
Brett Weiler.
Brett started breeding birds at 10 years old starting off with Budgies, Peachface, and Cockatiels. He learnt woodwork through 1 of Queensland's most respected cabinetmakers Mauri Maunsell (his Grandfather). Brett was taught the traditional skills of woodworking and still uses these methods today. He believes an item should be made to last not be made to maximise sales.
Jay Weiler.
Jay fell in love with birds through Brett, but it is Jay who is the primary hand raiser and believes the babies should not just be fed but interacted with at every feed. She gets them used to having to beaks, wings, and feet played with. Jays love of all things crafty also paved the way for us to able to make all our toys that we use on our products.
